Daniel Chammas - Experienced Employment Law Partner in Los Angeles

Daniel Chammas is an employment law attorney based in Los Angeles with a legal career extending more than two decades. As a longtime Los Angeles lawyer, he has represented employers in complex employment disputes, litigation, and workplace matters. Daniel Chammas serves as a partner with Ford & Harrison, where he advises clients on a broad range of employment law issues.

Before joining Ford & Harrison, Daniel Chammas was a partner with Venable LLP from 2009 to 2016. He previously spent more than a decade at McDermott Will & Emery LLP, progressing from summer associate to associate and ultimately partner. Throughout his career, he has counseled clients on matters involving employee terminations, wage and hour compliance, trade secret protection, employee handbooks, competition restrictions, and leave and disability laws.

Daniel Chammas has extensive litigation experience, having managed and taken responsibility for more than 25 multi-million-dollar cases, including wage and hour and discrimination class actions. He has also led teams of associates, contract attorneys, and paralegals throughout discovery, trial preparation, and litigation.

His practice has also included entertainment industry labor matters. Daniel Chammas has in the past negotiated with major Hollywood unions, including IATSE, SAG, DGA, and WGA, and has advised entertainment studios regarding minimum basic agreements and talent deals. He earned his JD from Stanford Law School in 1999 and his BA in Political Science from UCLA in 1996, graduating summa cum laude.
